ARCHIMEDES

Aki belefeledkezik a játékba, egyre többet lát, egyre többet hall. (Mt. 18,1-4)

Arkhimédész a nagy feltaláló tudását fegyvergyártásra használta, halála sorsszerű, római katona vetett véget életének.

Minden korosztály, óvodástól a nyugdíjasokig, mindenki kipróbálhatja a mágneses játékokat. A játék mértani tudást közvetít, segít látni és gondolkozni. Ha elég nyitottak vagyunk, rácsodálkozunk a Posticum kápolnájában az isteni tudásra, amelynek mindnyájan részesei vagyunk.

Századokon, évezredeken át felfedezett mértani tudás segítségével a tanár úr (ellentétben Arkhimédésszel) hangszereket gyárt.
Arkhimédész spiráljára épült a gitár, hárfa, citera, hegedű, basszusgitár, mandolin, mandola készítése is.

Ezeken a hangszereken mindenki tud játszani, korosztálytól függetlenül.
Segít térben látni, fejleszti a gondolkozást, a koncentrációt.

Anyone who loses himself in play sees and hears more and more. (Mt. 18,1-4)

Archimedes used his knowledge as a great inventor to manufacture weapons, his death was fateful, a Roman soldier ended his life. „Knowledge must be put at the service of peace“, says Math teacher Ádám Tempfli from Oradea.

Every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Posticum chapel, we can marvel and discover that there is order in the universe. All ages, from preschoolers to senior citizens, can try magnetic toys. The game conveys knowledge of geometry, helps to see and think. If we are open enough, we will marvel in the chapel of the Posticum at the divine knowledge of which we are all a part.
With the help of geometric knowledge discovered over centuries and thousands of years, the teacher (unlike Archimedes) produces musical instruments. The making of the guitar, harp, zither, violin, bass guitar, mandolin, and mandola was also based on Archimedes‘ spiral. The familiar do, re, mi… scale system is not found on these instruments, but harmony is. We can discover how much there is that we do not know, and we can experience that we are all part of a great order and knowledge.

Everyone can play these instruments, regardless of age. Even a 4-year-old child can play the 144-string percussion harp, the light xilotera and the harp violin. Although the teacher is present, he does not teach, he provides space for the development of freedom and harmony.
All kinds of geometric shapes can be laid out with the magnetic toy. It helps to see in space, it develops thinking and focus.

Interested parties are warmly welcomed!

ZEN, ZAZEN, MEDITATION

ZEN, ZAZEN, MEDITATION

Zen is a practice and a tool. Zen is a means of changing our consciousness and our fulfillment. By practicing Zen, we get rid of the confusion of our thoughts, the restlessness, the constant buzz that burdens our consciousness. Although Buddhism preserved this ancient practice in its purest form, Zen is not a religion. Zen is a practical path, a method that transcends all classification.

Viktor Pári has been practicing Zen meditation for more than eight years. Member of the One Drop Zen group in Hungary. He arrived at Posticum in 2021 and had an important role, when Imre Rencsik, the founder of the house, reorganized the hospitality with Niklaus Brantschen, a Swiss Jesuit monk, and started the Zen Hostel. Zen Hostel is run by Posticum and the One Drop Zen community. Every day in the morning and in the evening between 7 and 8:30 Viktor leads a Zen meditation in the house. Those interested can contact him in person, and he will give an introduction to beginners.

István „Taikyo“ Szaladják is the leader of the Hungarian One Drop Zen Community, and is a student of Zen master Taigen Shodo Harada. Béla Balázs award-winning feature film cameraman and director, previously taught at Budapest Metropolitan University. It was István Szaladják „Taikyo“ who brought Zen to the Posticum. Our artistic and spiritual advisor, our friend.

Taigen Shodo Harada Roshi is a Japanese Zen master and the leading master of the international sangha (Zen community) of One Drop Zen. His students have founded many One Drop communities around the world, which are in constant contact with him. Practitioners regularly visit Japan to further deepen their knowledge and experience at the Harada roshi monastery.
Since 2016, the roshi (i.e. master) has been regularly visiting and holding sesshin (retreats) at the Posticum.

His previous quartet, existed from 2004 – 2011, was a very important band on the Hungarian ethno-jazz a world music scene.
