Ákos Barcsay
psychospiritual guide, doctor of law, economist
I was born in Budapest in 1941. In 1945, my family fled to the West. In Germany, I attended a Bavarian elementary school and a Hungarian high school. I graduated in 1959, then in Belgium, at the University of Löwen, I obtained a doctorate in law, followed by a degree in economics.
I worked in various small and large companies and institutions as export manager, economic researcher, director's assistant, associate professor teaching business economics, system engineer, and then I led a controlling department. I completed the psycho-spiritual accompanying training. I have several years of experience in using inner child therapy and teaching meditation.
For 25 years, I have been practicing meditation (prayer) methods (zazen, Jesus prayer, Centering Prayer) on an almost daily basis. As a pensioner, I help the Máriakéméndi Gyertyaláng Children's Village Foundation, now I am responsible for the spiritual service in its institutions.
